At Blu Moon Photography we want you to be 100% satisfied and happy with your purchase. That's why, if you purchase on our prepay site for a school event or underclass school pictures and are not satisfied with your package, you may return it to us at any time for a full refund. You may also return it to us on underclass retake day and we will re-photograph you and reprint your package at no additional charge. For our refund policy regarding purchases made in the studio (for studio sessions), please email using the email form on the contact us page or call for more information. *Digital images are not eligible for refund or exchange after the product is delivered.

The session fee, sometimes also called a sitting fee, is the initial charge for your portrait session. All session fees are due at the time of booking, whether over the phone, online or in person. This fee does not include any products, printed or digital. Session fee prices vary based on the type of session scheduled. Session fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Any session can be rescheduled once for up to 90-days from the original session date. However, if a session is canceled and not rescheduled within the allotted 90 day period, the fee is then forfeited and a new fee will need to be paid before another appointment can be scheduled. 

Portrait pricing varies based on your type of session or whether you choose to purchase a package or 'a la carte' (individual items). The majority of our clients spend in excess of $350 on full studio portrait sessions, some more and some less. A minimum purchase is not required.

If you are more than 15 minutes late to any session, you will either have to reschedule or forfeit outfits. It would be unfair of us to encroach on another session because of the prior one's tardiness. We ask that you please use GPS or print out directions, have your hair and make-up done and arrive a few minutes early to allow for check-in. We want this to be a relaxed and fun experience for all.

As listed above, any session can be rescheduled once for up to 90-days from the original session date. We ask that you try to provide us at least 48 hours' notice prior to your scheduled session appointment time. This will give us the opportunity to open up the time to another client. Remember, session fees are not refundable.

Yes! We have several digital packages available. Digital images are not eligible for a refund or exchange after the product is delivered.

Scanning and attempting to reprint without written consent is illegal and professional photo labs/printers will not do so without proper legal consent. We do not release our copyright without the purchase of the digital image for any reason. This includes graduation cards, holiday cards, cakes, brochures, etc.

Nope, sorry, we do not allow this for any reason during any session, in the studio or on any of our outdoor sets, props, etc. Please do not act surprised if we ask you to put your device away or ask you to leave the session. We ask that you please respect the hard work and dedication that is involved with your portrait session.

Rain only affects outdoor portraits and if your session includes outdoor portraits, you will need to reschedule.

Yes! You may bring a friend or relative to join you in your portrait shoot for an additional charge. Adding to your session must be done in advance. Please contact us for more information.

Absolutely! We are happy to include any prop you wish to have included in your session. Feel free to bring musical instruments, sports equipment, letter jackets, cars, etc. Most props are free of charge, however, we do charge extra for pets. ANY type of pet is welcome from puppies and kittens to horses and cows! You also need to keep in mind that some props take more time than others to set up, so cutting back on outfits or backgrounds may occur in order to stay on time. Please contact us for more information regarding pet fees and props.

ALL portrait sessions are currently being placed on due to COVID restrictions. We are not conducting any in-person sales at this time. You can, however, place an order over the phone. Portrait images are placed online for view and purchase within 14-21 business days after your session. We do not print proofs.

While we strive to return your portraits to you as soon as possible, our production normally runs 14 to 21 business days from the initial order date. We do not print on-site. All orders are sent to a professional lab. 

Payment is due when the order is placed. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cash, or check.

Most people choose to pick up their orders. Shipping services are also available for an additional charge. We recommend picking up the prints as we are not responsible for prints lost or damaged in the mail.

Images that you purchase are archived for 2 years from the date of your photo session.

Yes! We love getting out of the studio and doing location work. There is an extra charge for travel, but we will literally go anywhere you choose. Downtown Houston, Market Street in The Woodlands, Old Town Spring, the beach, Europe, etc.
