Use of Student Information
Personally identifiable information (“PII”) collected or provided to us in connection with school photography services is used solely for legitimate business purposes related to providing those services and fulfilling our contractual obligations to educational institutions, schools, parents, guardians, and students.

We do not disclose student PII to third parties except when reasonably necessary to provide contracted photography services, fulfill orders, operate required technology and service platforms, comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, or otherwise as authorized by the applicable school, parent/guardian, or law.
Authorized Service Providers
In providing school photography services, certain student information may be processed by trusted technology and service providers that support our business operations, including photography platforms, online gallery providers, payment processors, hosting providers, and other vendors necessary to provide our contracted services.
These providers are expected to use information only as necessary to provide the services for which they are engaged and are not authorized by Blu Moon Photography to independently use student information for unrelated purposes.
Depending on the school or service involved, these providers may include PhotoBiz, Captura, More Photos, Stripe, GoDaddy, and other vendors described in this Privacy Policy.
Access and Security
Access to student information is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who require access to perform legitimate business functions.
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect student information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that student information is handled securely throughout the photography, ordering, production, delivery, and administrative processes.
Student Data Retention
Student information and photographs may be retained for the period reasonably necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations, provide requested services, process orders, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and maintain appropriate backups.
Retention periods may vary depending on the requirements of the school, the nature of the photography service, applicable contracts, legal obligations, and operational requirements.
School and Parent/Guardian Requests
Schools, parents, and legal guardians may contact Blu Moon Photography regarding questions or concerns about student information that we maintain or process.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will work with the applicable school or authorized parent or guardian to address requests concerning student information.
For information provided to us by a school pursuant to a school photography agreement, certain requests may need to be coordinated with the school because the school may maintain its own rights and obligations regarding student education records.
Commitment to Student Privacy
Protecting student privacy is an important responsibility that we take seriously. We are committed to handling student information responsibly, limiting its use to legitimate photography and school-service purposes, restricting access to authorized parties, and maintaining safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or protections provided to students, parents, guardians, or schools under applicable federal or state law or under an applicable agreement with Blu Moon Photography.
6. Children's Privacy
Our services may involve photographing children and students.
Our website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to encourage children under 13 to independently provide personal information to us.
When we provide photography services involving children, information is generally provided by a parent, guardian, school, educational organization, or another authorized adult rather than directly by the child.
If we become aware that a child under 13 has independently submitted personal information through our website in circumstances where parental consent is required, we will take reasonable steps to address the situation in accordance with applicable law.
Parents and legal guardians may contact us regarding personal information associated with their child.
Federal law may treat photographs, videos, and audio recordings containing a child's image or voice as personal information in certain circumstances.
7. Online Galleries
We provide online galleries for clients, families, schools, and other photography customers.
Depending on the service or photography project, galleries may be hosted through PhotoBiz, Captura, or More Photos.
Gallery platforms may process information necessary to provide gallery access, display photographs, identify subjects, process orders, facilitate digital downloads, and fulfill print or product orders.
Some school photography galleries may use unique access codes, passwords, keywords, or other access controls to help limit access to individual student photographs.
Gallery links, passwords, access codes, and similar information should be treated as confidential.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any gallery access information provided to you and should not share private gallery credentials with unauthorized individuals.
Because these galleries are operated using third-party services, your use of a gallery may also be subject to the applicable provider's privacy policy and terms of service.
8. Payment Information
When you make a purchase through our website, online galleries, or other purchasing systems, payment information may be processed by Stripe or another payment processor used in connection with a particular transaction.

Information submitted through a More Photos gallery may be processed by More Photos as necessary to provide the applicable gallery, ordering, and photography services.
Third-party gallery providers may have their own privacy policies and terms governing their platforms. We encourage clients to review those policies when using an online gallery.

14. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Our third-party service providers may also maintain their own security measures designed to protect information processed through their platforms.
However, no website, electronic transmission, cloud storage system, online gallery, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
For this reason, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by us or our service providers.
15. Data Retention

Photography files may be retained for varying periods depending on the type of photography service, client agreement, school contract, order, gallery, or business need.
Because photography files are important business records, we may retain photographs after a client's order or session has been completed.
